Holidays with earth on their hands and time to explore.

At Sementes' holiday camps we open our doors to all children, regardless of the type of school they go to.

Small groups. Days spent outdoors. Workshops, projects and space to be a child. No rush.

What is a day like in the Sementes' holiday camps?

Each day follows its own rhythm, with enough structure to provide security and enough flexibility to respect those who are here.

Morning

The space opens at 8:30 a.m., but there is no set arrival time. Families can arrive at their own pace. There is a welcome moment where we share how we are doing and what we want to explore. Then we dive in: practical workshops, outdoor projects, individual or group exploration.

Lunch time

We eat together outside. The soup is shared. Each child brings their own lunch from home, respecting everyone's individual needs.

Afternoon

Afternoons invite movement. Games, pottery, carpentry, art with natural materials, outdoor play. Those who wish to can also continue with their morning project. This is where many children discover what really interests them, because they finally have the time and space to explore without interruption.

End of the day

Around 4 p.m., snack time invites everyone to gather once more to close out the day. Departure is done in the same way as arrival, at each family's own pace. We close the space at 6 p.m.

What makes this vacation different

Some families come to us because they want to try something different for their children, without commitment. Holiday camps are a good way to do this.

Small groups

A maximum of 15 children, with two to three adults present. We get to know each child, what fascinates them, and what worries them.

Qualified team

The tutors, trained in psychology and education, are the same ones who accompany the families throughout the year.

Screens with a purpose

We use various tools for research, including computers. This time is intentional and limited.

Outdoors

We have a plot of land with fruit trees, a vegetable garden, and space to build and run around. The children spend a good part of the day outdoors.

Open to all families

The holiday camps at Sementes are for any child between the ages of 5 and 12, regardless of which school they attend.

You don't have to be homeschooled. You don't have to know about Sementes. You don't have to make any commitment beyond the week you participate.

For many families, our holidays camps are the first way to get to know us. Children experience the space, the team, and the rhythm. Parents see what happens, without pressure.

If you’d like to learn more about our support services during the school year, we’d be happy to talk with you.

The goal of these camps is simple: to give children a great couple of days, with plenty of time and space to discover their interests and make new friends.

FAQ

My child doesn't know anyone. Is this a problem?

No. The groups are small and the team is attentive to the integration of each child. Most of the children who come to the camps don't know each other. By the end of the first day, they are already playing together.

And when they're not, that's fine too. There's room for those who need more time. And we're here to help them with whatever they need.

Do I need to be homeschooled to participate?

No. The holiday camps are open to all families, regardless of the type of school your child attends. It is a holiday activity, not an enrollment in the homeschooling support center.

What if my child doesn't like outdoor activities?

Most children who “don't like” the outdoors have never had the opportunity to explore it at their own pace and without pressure. But we always respect each child's pace. There is indoor space available, and no one is forced to participate in anything.

Can I enroll my child for just a few days?

Registrations are made for a full week. This allows the group to get to know each other, establish their rhythms, and develop projects with continuity. For children, this makes all the difference.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations must be requested in writing, by email, to the address indicated in the registration confirmation. If the family cancels before receiving the registration confirmation email, no payment is due and no refund will be given. For other situations, and given that the number of places is limited: a) If cancellation is requested up to 8 days before the start date of the camp, we will refund 50% of the amount paid. b) If cancellation is requested within 7 days prior to the start date of the camp, or after the start of activities, no refund will be given

Are there any accommodations for children with special needs?

Our team includes professionals with experience in supporting children with diverse needs. The best way to find out if we can meet your child's needs is to talk to us directly. We listen, we talk, and we are honest about what we can offer in each specific case.
